Pierce County Library System rolls into Fife
Starting Monday, Feb. 8, Fife residents may come aboard Pierce County Library System’s family bookmobile and choose from more than 3,000 books, movies, audiobooks and more to check out–all for free.
The bookmobile will serve Fife at Five Acre Park, 6335 Radiance Blvd. E., every second and fourth Monday of the month, from 4:45-7:45 p.m.
“We are delighted to bring library services for the first time to Fife residents,” said Neel Parikh, executive director for Pierce County Library. “The bookmobile will be a great service and it is just a first step. We’ll be bringing many more services directly to people in Fife.”
The annexation means Fife residents may now get a free Pierce County Library card and check out books, DVDs, audiobooks and other materials from any of the 17 Pierce County Libraries. The library card also gives people free access to online services including, downloadable audio and e-books, online homework help, job and career help, and many other e-sources with magazines, newspapers, personal investment information and more.
Other library services now being offered in Fife include taking books, music and other materials directly to child care facilities.
